The Patois collection is brought to you exclusively by Martin & Martin. The Patois collection takes inspiration from Guernsey’s variant of the Norman language, Guernésiais.

There is a rich tradition of poetry in the Guernsey language. Guernsey songs were inspired by the sea, by colourful figures of speech, by traditional folklore, as well as by the natural environment of the island.
